Over recent years, new architectural projects have sprung up across Sydney and the surrounding area. Toby’s architectural photography is an appreciative nod to the art form, but he is also keen to document the process of the newer projects he discovers, be they positive or negative.
Toby takes a unique viewpoint when it comes to photographing buildings, urban structures and city living. He looks for unusual angles and sometimes unfashionable locations, never targeting obvious images. When he shoots a well-known part of any city, he is mindful of what has been seen before, and enjoys showcasing new perspectives on some of the most photographed buildings in the world.
In recent years, Toby has created his own monochromatic style he calls “Starkitecture”, shot in a deliberate way under certain weather conditions to be manipulated in post to draw out often unseen details.
Toby is available to shoot both exterior and interior architecture, and is the perfect choice if you’re looking for your premises to stand out from the crowd. He can shoot for architecture firms, editorial publications or news outlets. Use the form below to make your enquiry.
