A Steller story-telling app

I’ve recently been using the rather excellent Steller app for iOS. The story-telling tool allows users to upload photos and videos as little e-books, with text and quotes, which are great fun to flick through.

While the range of templates is a little limited, I’ve found it to be an excellent tool for what I’m trying to achieve, which is to tell meaningful global stories through words and pictures. It’s the digital equivalent of a “zine”.

So far so good. Foraggio Photographic‘s first two stories were picked up as featured posts on the apps main page, and both hit the top 10 most viewed stories as well. Given Jared Leto’s story was No.1, I was pretty stoked with coming in as high as No.8 for my Cuba story.

I also produced a story on the world’s largest human-powered laundry, Dhobi Ghat, in Mumbai, India which also tracked really well on the Steller platform. That one is called Dirty Laundry. The feedback, thus far, has been terrific.

While both are fun to look at on you desktop, I highly recommend using the app, as it’s a far superior experience. And when you get there, be sure to follow foraggio, of course.

Why not think about creating some for yourself? As the Steller tagline states, “Everybody has a story to tell”.
